I'll be going to Sydney the end of this month for a few days. Saw the posts on cheonging - my question is how safe is it to go to these areas (Surry Hills, Ultimo) around night time. Sydney is fairly safe unless you intend to venture into Boganville (past inner west). Surry Hills is ok, Redfern isn't as dodgy as the past but still be vigilant la. A lot of cabs around just the meter jumps damn fast. Ultimo is pretty safe. :)
