Tepes, you just unlucky to leave Bkk without a grin. You don't need to ask bell boy to 'arrange' cab. Easy to hail one, and just say Ratchada area (as you did research). The bright neon lights and signage of the infamous soapies are plain to see, Nataree, Emanuelle and others. Tel no. also handy.

Neither do you need to rely on Nataree's bloke to order taxi. It's just right on the main road, to jump into 1 cab (everybody does that!). And bring that hotel name card, with thai text. You are spoit for choice on taxis in bkk

1) On business or not, that's his choice (budget, comfort level). Sure, there are lots cheaper places under thb1k.
2) CentrePoint Wireless doesn't cost a bomb, neither luxury hotel but more apartment style. Circa thb2k, and in between 2 BTS Phoenchit and Chitlom
(can't be that far from Nana or SC)
3) SC 'dangerous', wrong bar? As in arab owned bars, or get hit by LBs?:confused:
