Bangsen's a good, quiet place to bring your gf for a nice private getaway:

But the sea is not good for swimmming, only leisurely beach paktor or jalan2.

THE place to stay is Tide Resort, pricier than rest. But if you go before end Aug, there's a promo direct with hotel webbie at bht1800 nett incl abf(resellers doing bht2.2-2.3k).

There's a new Walking Street (nothing like Pattaya's) with night market and concerts this period. Most of everybody heading there in evening.

Caveat: Not a place to chiong. Transport is by songtaew. But there's this big MP Galaxy to skive (when your gal does her hair for odd hour or 2):D Not far from civilisation too, got Carrefour, Big C. Just a diversion away from urban bkk if you are up to it

Had a getaway weekend in Bangsen (Chonburi) in Tide Resort with my side dish. Bangsen's a quiet, sleepy sort seaside place -an easy 1 hour drive away from Bkk.
