W globalization there is no one country that can be immuned of cos. not US n certainty not China too. But like i said China is going through a painful reform that is necessary in the long run. So slower global economic growth will be a norm for years to come. As for sg, we are also in a reform to move upwards the value chain. Not easy n we will face slow growth ourself too

Let's say she only works 20 days a month, which means 20 x $350 = $7,000.
Is that a sufficient reason for them to keep coming back? :)[/QUOTE]

Knn, she earns more than me...

Seriously, they are real pain in the ass on public ethics.

No need for bad economy to hit earnings of FLs and MLs. Premier League starting this weekend/next weekend. Should be easier to book them if you are not football fan.

I believe that medical is the only sector that is really not affected...The rest of the sector are affected across the board...Coz this is usually a chain reaction.

I have never heard of medical sector being affected coz no matter what happen to the world economy. You still need medical services when illness knocks on ur door...So all things related to medical are more or less in the safety zone...:D:D:D

Well there are some sectors that are recession proof I guess . Like u said, medical sector . As we approached an ageing population, there will b a boom in this sector. Another is the f&b sector as pple need to eat . Of cos high end places will suffer but generally this sector will still be stable

2. I already started eating less outside bcz can foresee the increment & bonus next yr will be very small...

Ok maybe I should not say not affected but rather compared to others some sectors like I mentioned are affected lesser than the other

Ya eat at home n cut down on unnecessary spending especially on entertainment is the key. Actually a lot of money are wasted in lifestyle choices as one always try to console that life is short n should treat urself better

Another sector that is recession proof is the funeral services sector. Sad but true.

Indeed. Agree with u. As we are going into an ageing population fast , natural such sector will be high in demand. But money paid per case might drop too. Never know
