Just like to post some FR from my last year trip.

Day 1:

Nothing special except got con abit when exchange my money with hotel staff. Went to look for the recommended money changer at Bến Thành Market but it was closed.

As my friend and I never bring much don, so desperately change with hotel staff. They also tried to short change me but luckly I check my change.

Thereafter went for lunch and walk around.

At night we went for massage with HJ. Pretty good experience for me and I keep asking the girl for LT. But she mention that night cannot. So we exchange contact. Dmg: 500k. (I know i been overcharge, guess i too newbie to neg this money).

Day 2:

We went cuchi tunnel and play some guns like AK47. Well wanna try something new since SG only M16. Dmg: 17K per bullet. (If i recall correctly).

Night time we went to a decent pub for a drink. The girls inside is damn chio and make me so itchy. But too bad, one of my friend happen to know the lady boss say they all either Uni students or got proper day time job.

End up suck thumb and go back hotel after few drink.

Back in hotel, i pull out my contact from the girl yesterday. Msg and call, all no answer. I am so desperate so try out wechat. All girl asking for 100USD for ST. Totally disappointed. At least the massage girl offer me 100USD for LT.

End up cannot agreed with the price, i go back and slp.

Day 3:

Last day before our flight, we went for wash hair, decent one. To my surprise, they not just wash hair, but more like wash head (big head). Experience damn shiok. Almost fall aslp thruout the whole washing. They even massage ur arms and shoulder. Confirm will try again next time.

Overall entire trip no bonk ad only HJ. Will sure go back and try something more next time.

P.S. I also didnt bring too much cash plus spend too much on bullets.

One question to ask the pros here:

Price of ST and LT does it depend on District as well? If yes, might try somewhere out of district 1.

If you used Wechat...the okt or fl will know you foreigner...so will not drop the price...Wechat gals are target foreigners...:)

Prices of of ST or LT no longer exist with the demise of hbt bars...ST or Lt still exist with local bia om or Ktv...these serves locals or those foreigners who knew the places...you need to speak viet...:)

HCMC indeed is not an easy place to cheong.
But I love it because it's not so foreigner tainted like in Thailand and Philippines.
No offence to Tomyam and Jollibee fans. :p
Had many wonderful experiences like going to the kampungs in the outskirts of HCMC and Vung Tau.

If you take an effort to learn simple Tieng Viet and put time into some research you'll rewarded.
All my Vietnam trips are DIY.
Most importantly have a good bro gave me many good tips when I started out.

For those who don't want to make the extra effort then better skip HCMC.

Really envy you got baxa, tirak, darling, sayang and lau po all over Asia! :p

I read a lot of changing money with jewellery shop but no sign showing they are money changer, so I never ask in first place. Subsequent our money change with them after I go in direct and ask them.

Rate indeed better than hotel. Plus I suspect is the hotel staff ownself change to earn from us. Well just treat as giving them tips loh.

My passport would need a lot of catching up
