Why would anyone go to CP to monger nowadays? What's the scene like in SZ, DS and ZH?

KTV no f-street, less girls. Good Quality gals go holiday back home
Sauna all close, only HH and HM open but secret. Also very little gals
BBS all mobile need contact.


Might as well go other places since the reason CP was good because of quantity. For quality might as well go Shanghai or Macau.

And you're probably right about CP right now - but its no better in Zhuhai or Shenzhen as far as I know; both places from what my friends tell me is also pretty iffy as far as mongering is concerned.

Not sure about Danshui as I don't have friends who regularly monger there, but it SEEMS to me as if the crackdown is pretty well province wide - from talking to bros as well as from reports on other boards.

What have you heard?

I have heard that the Taiwanese guys are now going to DS. The quality isn't as good, but they still dare to open. However I have also heard that recently like 2 days ago it was cracked down.

I was in China for a month from June to 20+ July, and got the full brunt of the crackdown. Spent all my time at PZL in the tail-end.

Yes, it seems like they started the crackdown hard on CP (July 7 - 7/7/12 - what a black date!!) and CA and then moved on to other places.

I've got a business associate who also owns one of the supposedly "safer" saunas in Foshan and he got shut down a few days ago and of course even that supposedly 100% safe DiHao in Dalang which had never been affected in previous crack downs - heck they even hauled off customers!! Wonder if they're gonna be charged or just held for 15 days and fined.

Now is a GREAT time in CP if you've got regulars and contacts! Just about all of them are ever so nice, pliant AND soooooo grateful just to be able to earn your $$$! LOL!

I have been to Danshui about 2-3 yrs ago for two days. There are a lot of KTV's and sanuas. Most of the KTV's and sanuas are small, located in small hotels. I visited about 15 saunas. The least was 5 to a max of around 15 girls. Most only had 8-10 girls. We didn't find any large KTV or sauna that had over 20 girls. We didn't find anything with 30 to 40 girls in a sauna.

Since I've been there for ONLY 2 days, I am sure things have changed and I don't consider myself an expert on Danshui. We also didn't go during prime time which is late at night after 10pm. We started exploring about 6pm to around 10pm the first day.

Note: There are two bus stations. I was waiting for my friend at the wrong bus station. The city is small. You can walk the whole city in 1 day. We didn't see any BBS.

Hi bro,

I do agree with you that getting your regular at this point of time is the best. I didn't expect the crack down to be so long. I will be travelling on the 7th & already gotten my regular to wait for me as I will be bringing her over the GZ. Don't think I want to spend those few days in CP, think still not too safe.

I really don't know about bringing her over to GZ as IMHO, hotels are still safer in CP - even during this crackdown vs those in GZ.

GZ is way more conservative when it comes to these kind of things and many hotels still would specifically require registration of each guest in a room; thus making it easy for the PSB to figure out who's staying with who as such registration data are automatically/electronically transferred to the PSB computers.

Have never been to China, wanted to GuangZhou somewhere in late August to buy something. Which take me about maybe half a day, was thinking since I am there I might as well drop by Dongguan/Changping for a few days before flying back.
Since its my first time by myself and have a poor command of Mandarin.
I will be lost really dunno safe or not.

I was hoping that I could join some experience kakis here who are going around this time or anybody who care to join me.

You're very welcome - and I hope that I am NOT just scare-mongering, but going back to 10 years or so ago, when I had to stay for extended times in Beijing (and being plenty worried anytime I had a "friend" with me in my hotel room), I had my retained lawyer check up what are the exact laws governing this matter.

According to him after quite a bit of research (well at least the SOB charged me quite a lot of hours!!) he opined that ANY couples staying together in a hotel room CAN be arrested for immorality or whatever unless the couple can produce a valid Marriage licence! Another thing is that your own hotel room is considered to be "Public premises" and thus the LE has the legal right to access it at any time/for any reason - but the Bathroom/toilet itself is private and they do NOT have legal rights to access it....as if it makes any difference!!! LOL!

Please note thought that this is the law as it was a decade ago (although I don't think they'd have changed it and probably still can apply it at their discretion) and I have NOT heard of any recent cases of ANY hotel rooms being raided just for "immorality." The only time I've heard of such is when it involves other criminality (drugs. gambling, triad activities etc) and/or when there is political motives behind such.

A pretty good indication if a hotel is OK to shack up or not is that they have "short term" room rates - and yes, a lot of supposedly 4 or 5 Chinese Star rated hotels in SZ, GZ, ZH etc do offer such hourly rates.

Just what I know.
