bro, you give "FT" too much credit. Firstly, not all are talents. Most are merely workers, and are no better than the locals. Yeah, some talk more and more glibly, but they don't necessarily get more done or are more skilled.

I welcome the good ones to improve and contribute to Sg, but Singapore won't tank without them. Sg will grow more slowly, and infact, probably more organically instead of importing people by the millions ( 2 million foreigners here and countring ). I feel that's not a bad option too. At least, growth will be at a pace that locals can accept.

In the first place, there is no as many Foreign WLs than there are FTs. FTs here think that they run the damn show and often than not are always demanding things, which I think is BS.

I used to be like you and could not give two hoots about FTs being in Singapore. I drive so how packed SMRT is does not matter to me much. I live comfortably in a D09 place. I did not care much who my neighbors were. But recently, I realized how many FTs are here in SG, after I started openning my eyes. Was at Hans recently and I counted almost all were pinoys working behind the counter! I think locals accounted for less than 2-3! I was like WTF. Was at Burger King again the same scenario was being played out! Is this the SG you remember just a few years ago?

I don't care if companies use FTs. But I think we have gone overboard. I used to study overseas and I can say that I would keep my mouth shut especially since I am a guest in that country. However, now FTs demand you follow their ways! If you allow that to happen, then seriously, where do you draw the line? I don't blame anyone who seeks for a better life. But when you are a guest, at least respect your host!

We can be angry at them, but that would be pointless and won't change anything. And if you think about it, it's not their fault. They found an avenue to a better life or a lucrative package, and they took it.

Instead, we should direct our displeasure at the cause of this problem - which is over-liberal immigration and manpower policies that favors large imports of people to drive up GDP and depress local wages. That needs to be tightened to a more manageable level. And that is something that we can change, in 2016.
