I believe bro NY88. I said serious.... means how bad it is over there. Whether it affect S'porean to what extend. Cheonging any problem? I search batam news again and found a report on riots at batam ctr ..... something about protesting infront of kantor wali of batam............ what happen???

Big Time Demo, few cars with the red plate (government’s) got burnt, all the small Polisi posts got burnt down, demo extended into Nagoya and of cause Batam Center where all government offices are located, also all roads leading to the industry area and ship yards were being blocked and workers going to work were forced to go home, TRUE.
Many dead? Not heard of yet.
Basically it’s between the union’s demonstrators and the government agencies and so far they have not done anything to the civilians, still best thing to do is to stay off Batam for time being.

about salary, pay rise issue..
what worried is the riot will be put off or out of control.
imagine if the factory not going to operate in meantime,
or not going to use back these workers, what will happen when all out of job.
a very small portion of these worker sure turn to rob, what will happen?
what sure is that will affect the cheonging scene, but how bad, still dont know.
shop, mall all closed.. this situation stay in hotel also worried.. one thing still good is joint still open for bisiness.. :p
