how safe is protected oral sex against std? i know it's consider a very low risk activity. but how safe exactly it is?

That's like asking "how long is a piece of string?".

A condom offers good protection against STDs that are transmitted via body fluids but very little protection against STDs transmitted via skin to skin contact such Herpes, Warts and Syphilis.

If you want to be safe, don't have sex with whores.

Oral sex post low risk unless there is cuts. Hence, if a protected oral sex is definately almost zero.
