Shanghai Hongqiao Station to Hefei is from 150-210 minutes depending on which train you are taking. On the way there of back, you can even chose to make stopover at WUXI, Suzhou, Changzhou, Nanjing and other cities. You can also travel to Hubei, Wuhan too if you have the time.
Just don't be lazy by just soaking in only Dongguan CP Town. Travel around China lah! Be more adventurous lor! You can visit inner Mongolia, Qinghai, you know! the Northwest of China. I also heard that Mongolia (the Country) is fun and the girls will literally rape you because they are very horny. Planning a visit there in this late Spring.

From sing to CP, it only takes u about 7 hours in total and maybe 8-9hrs if u use HKIA route.
To hefei, like what u describe, just taking plane will takes up 7 hrs... Then from pudong to train station about 1 hr.... Then another 2-3 hrs by 高铁... Time used seems a lot compare to cp mah...
Qinghai is too far for me lah... Also I like to rape gals, and not the other way round haha
