I am in Batam!
I arrived yesterday!! I am so happy.
Something incredible yesterday at NoName. I refrain to report. Hard to believe.
Again a useful remark for everyone: if you want to change some significant amount, avoid at all cost the changers at Harbour Bay as well as at Nagoya Hill.
Yesterday I inquired for AUD and USD in various places in Nagoya Hill and at Jalan Bonjol (the two-way wide street in front of NH).
I've got the following exchange rates (for some hundreds USD or AUD):
AUD: from 9600 to 10800 (most ones offered 10000)
USD: from 11200 to 11700.
Best rates at one of the last changers on Jalan Bonjol walking left facing NH.
I changed 500 AUD. My walk around to get the best rate made me earn (that is, avoid to WASTE) something like 400.000 IDR getting 10800 instead of 10000. Not bad!
