Sorry to hear that sis..
One must have loved deeply, got hurt a great deal to end up being on the opposite side.. That is perfectly understandable, at least that excuse kept me going for the past 14 years..

Fate works in mysterious ways, you'll never know when the one appears.. It's all about keeping your options open if you are up for it.. I sincerely hope that someone comes along your way.. Do share if he appears, so we can all be happy for you..
I sadly belong on the exact opposite because I no longer harbour hopes for that to happen..

My heart is harshly cold specifically to romance only..
An example:
There is this sales agent at cycle & carriage who is exceptionally friendly toward me. Got to know her from a friend when I got my car, she takes the trouble to be there when I send my car in for servicing and was exceptionally nice unlike the other car owners who did not have their agent there to tend to them..
She would invite me to movies, gatherings, parties and would text me regularly.. When I felt she was getting a little too close for comfort, I switch contact number and service centers to avoid her completely..
So, to your point.. The reason for these momentarily falters are the result of me not disassociating myself from the world..?
Can't it be restricted to romance only?
