A fortnight's pretty long stay. Why Pratunam, any criteria? Don't mind me, imho it's a pretty chaotic area (if you talking about Pantip stretch). Traffic and taxis not to keen going there. BTS connection not exactly doorstep as like main Suk stretch. I shd know, as used to stay at Centre Point Petchaburi soi 15 a decade ago -commuting to bars and main shopping areas not exactly easy. But Central World is just across the bridge from Pantip, Platinum end.
Pratunam's shopping more into apparel wholesale trade, with likes of Platinum, market etc.
Even if leisure extends to shopping, sightseeing -can think of better places to stay. Or hedge your bets with few days at Pratunam, and other places
