Too many guys playing shady games here. Real people talking about real things need to retake the space. Anyone who has a motive for talking here that is not just talking is not helping. Using this space to promote a business, and meanwhile encouraging suppression of sharing info by others, is just not cool.
I don't care who's doing what, but anyone discouraging sharing of info is going against the spirit of the forum and the internet. "Don't spoonfeed newbies" is insulting to newbies, disrespects them. Many newbies are as sharp or sharper than the seniors here. Give them the tools and they will flourish, that's my philosphy. Just look what happened here last week if you don't believe me. A few newbies became pros at the VN websites.
