I am not interested on how u earn your money.... everyone has his ways of earning money. I am more interested or curious on how u spend your money.
U mentioned 4 persons spending this money... but your MIL is in country side.... how much can she spent?? Your kid should be still young... guess the bulk of money was spent by your wife like a tai tai, go spa, saloon, LV, gucci?
Food wise, u might spend average 1k USD on normal and chinese restaurant in a month.
BTW, I still can't get how many yrs u been in VN... in 1 post, u mentioned 6+, another 7 then another 8 yrs.... so end of the day, how many yrs?
I am not trying to dig out or flame u but just want to provide right info to the readers. Spending 5k USD, ignorance readers might think VN living expenses are very high...worse than SG.
