Yes...but due to CNY mode,most were still going between 9200 to 9300. More money changer's competiton were coming back....soon.

Bro,i believe Chinatown or Arcade should have about similar or at times better rate than in Batam since a day or 2 before CNY eve. Or the least,this year most of my money were changed in Chinatown. 9330/SGD 2 days before CNY eve and 9300/SGD respectively.
I have learned from my last 2 years CNY experience,i arrived Batam prepared with between 9380/SGD to 9400/SGD from my last Dec trip. Still not enough due to my extended stay,so i have to change a bit more at 9250/SGD in Batam.
Next year CNY 2018,i hope to do better.

Yes,went to fetch a girl from the airport who is currently still in my room now,hehehe...however, I didnt get to tour the airport due to time constraint. Shall do so in the near future.
