Dropped by in this area to a friend's new place and decided to grab a morning bite at this much-touted stall.
It is the food stall that was previously from Tanglin Halt when they first started about 30-40 years ago. Now the younger generations are helping out.
This place has few variants of porridge, fried beehoon, fried eggs, luncheon meat , chicken wings and ngoh hiang. They even have chee cheong fun and yam cake.
Porridge is still very much the leading actor here and the smooth and light-flavored porridge is what makes this stall popular.
The signature porridge has got the fried crispy pig intestines, small fish slices, cuttlefish and minced meat balls served also with shredded ginger and light soya sauce and a dash of sesame oil.
Some folks who prefer a heavier taste may eat together with the beehoon and other added items. Yep, immersing the beehoon in the porridge and eat HK style.
Anyway I got the soft boiled eggs from the coffee stall next to it and added to the porridge. Lol...
