back from a 2 day trip to Yangon from Bangkok on visa run, compared to pre coup era, the place feels very unsafe, midnight curfew in place. visited empire, the place closes at 11:30, took a lady and on the way back to hotel was stopped at a check point, too much hassle with the officers regarding identification and why i was with a Burmese lady at this hour, finally they let me go but not the lady, no idea what happened with her.
Stayed at the hotel the next night and checked out. Myanmar off the list for a few years. Scary
