As to with regards to your query here on how to get further & longer visa permitted stay in China...this is how I got mine at the very begining stage when I was here....hope it's still applicable as it is for now...

The usual permitted 60 days visa stay period is issue with the following;
1) Obtain a Letter of Formal Invitation from a local Chinese or legal enitity enterprise stating name, designation & purpose of visit to the invitees.
NOTE: Letter of Invitation are to be original copy with company stamp (the red stamp)
