Am first time in Beijing now.

Just went to sanlitun. The pub place - nothing much there exept a row of drinking pubs. then was approached by a guy introducing a fun place for me & my friend (2 pax only).

This is his claim -
1) room - RMB 100
2) beer - RMB 20
3) gal - RMB 100 (table fee)
4) no minimal charge

Sound good? So we went to see see look look. But end up, we paid RMB 2000 for room + drinks. 3 gals table fee (RMB 100) + Tip (RMB 200) each.

Yes - table fee and tips is different!!! Total of RMB 3000, damn expensive lesson.

This is how they clock RMB 20 drinks into RMB 2000 bill - They will show you the the price list, chingdao only RMB 20, so me + my friend + 3 gals = 5 bottle, they will bring in 6 bottles, in a package form. if you dun open, wont charge. obviously, 6 bottles is not enough, so they will bring in another 6++ bottles eventually. all these bottles are green in color, but, its actually different beer - eg heniken ... but the price is double or triple of chingdao.

Given the room is dark and we are all engage in game, we didnt notice and we just drink ... and end up we pay ROBERT price.

Bro in BJ, pls make sure the price of the drink before you commit. I think there's should be quite a lot of places operating in this manner.
