I think I'm falling in love with a G-club girl. My question is, are these girls traditionally as easy as bargirls? Some g-club girls I spoke to swear by their promise of never sleeping with customers no matter how drunk, and what's there not to believe them? They're gorgeous, articulate, playful and modern (my girl in question speaks near-perfect English, drives a Toyota, stays in a rented condominium, is a university graduate and uses the internet, MSN and Facebook regularly. She looks like a typical Chinese lady with fair skin and all - would easily have been mistaken for a Singaporean). She's a head turner and we're totally lost with each other.

On my 5th visit to the club I barfined her and we had such a good time together - we went to watch a movie near her place, had a marvellous dinner together, basically did the whole dating thing and she proceeded back to my hotel to sleep (no, I didn't touch her, just cuddled the night away. Don't ask me why. Maybe when you're totally smitten with somebody sex becomes an afterthought and you just want her to be well). We did talk about being together but she merely whispered "I'm working.. how can I have a boyfriend?". I've also asked her about coming to Singapore (all expenses paid, of course) and she flatly refused. But the next day we still hung out together like a couple and she brought me to her condominium, met up with 2 her friends staying in the same room (all working in the same G-club), went for coffee and basically just hung out. It was a lot of fun and we enjoy each other's company very much.

I know G-club girls aren't obligated to entertain customers after 2am, let alone sleep or go out with them, but my girl did all that with me and then some. I was dying to ask her if she has ever slept with any of her customers before (she's already been working for 2 years) but that question would have been crossing the line and extremely disrespectful, so I'm left to guess. I would have been heartbroken if she had said yes anyway.

I left the country a month ago and we still text each other regularly. It pains me to think that she is still obligated to hug and touch different men every night in her job, but I've been careful not to let her know my pain. She has said that she will need to work for another 3 years or so before she is able to buy a house outright (with cash); by then she will embark on a career as a beautician and quit her job. Before she joined the G-club she was a a waitress in a famous international cafe chain.

Are G-club girls no different from any of the bargirls working in Bangkok? At the end of the day, are they all just available at the right price? Is she the most elaborate liar in the world?
