Remit centres in singapore tend to give better rates then money changer. So if u remit in excess of 5k sing... Its worth paying the remit fee of $15 to $17. And remit to who u might ask.. Of cos to ourselves lah.. Most of us has opened a local account in china so we just send to ourselves.

Just in case if u ask how to apply for the account, u just bring your passport and a local address and of cos some money. Go to the bank and ask to open account and there will be staff to help. Of cos if u bring money in excess of 50k rmb.. The process will be very much faster as there is normally a vip counter for ppl with large amt of cash. This applies to small towns like ca and cp.
