Bro...
Remember... Condoms do not give 100% protection. Even if nothing gets through the latex, if the girl has a breakout of herpes, uncovered areas will still 'catch' the virus as its highly contagious. Hence, you can still catch it even if you wear a condom and your inner thighs come into contact with a girl who has an active breakout around her inner thighs.
This goes the same for unprotected oral sex - anything you can catch via unprotected vaginal sex can be caught via unprotected oral sex (though there has not been any reports of catching the HIV virus).
