Crime Alert
Dear bros... Beware when walking the streets at night...just received a Whatsapp message from one of my friends that he was robbed of his pouch when he was walking near Cho Ben Thanh... Location at the junction of Thoa Khoa Huan and Le Thanh Ton street. As he was walking alone just now at bout 1215am Vietnam time, a motorbike came and grab his sling pouch.. The force caused the strap to his pouch to snapped and his pouch gone with the motorbike in a blink of the eye... According to him everything happened so fast that he have no reaction time to give chase.. His wallet with USD600, SGD300 and about VND 8,000,000 worth of cash together with his camera gone... Luckily his passport hotel keeping it if not jialuck and he is traveling in group so cash not an issue... He just arrived HCMC today and this incident just destroyed his holiday mood.... Just last month Pixlover and me personally witness a snatch theft incident just outside 29, Thu Khoa Huan ST... Where there was a failure snatch attempt on a bunch of Ang Mo ladies...so be careful when you are walking be it day or night as snatch theft occurs anytime.. Things to note while in HCMC
1) Never bring all your cash out... Take what you think is sufficient and keep the rest in the hotel safe..
2) Beware when using your prized mobile phone at the side of the road... You will be amazed how accurate they can snatch your phone away..
3) Avoid wearing expensive or flaunting your valuables.. Useless you want to Donate away...
4) Beware also of pickpockets in crowded places...especially when small children bump into you.. Better check..
5) Again I say cheap F**k might not be the cheapest after all when you realize stuff go missing when you are showering...
