Hi,

I am new to this board. I will visit Beijing in Oct. I wonder if it will still be strict after China's National Day holiday (10/1 week)? In your guys' opinion, which District is the most dangerous? ChaoYang?

How can I tell the stars of a hotel? If the hotel is an international brand, but under a relatively low category of that brand, would it still be safe?

I also heard that people with foreign passport would have little or no trouble if he got caught by police, compared with Chinese citizen? Or what would be the worst scenario?

Never been to Beijing before, so I just want to do some homework..
thanks!
