Just got back from BJ and had two quite difference experiences.
The first night, I got in late to the hotel. So, I walked around the lobby at 1 am and met a freelancer. A bit older, but nice body. She wanted 3000
but nego to 1000, I thought. In the room, she said 1500 (perhaps the accent was the cause of the confusion) - settled on 1100. Service was poor - keep pushing me to call up her friend to join - waste of time and money.
Second night stopped by a massage place near the hotel (in Chaoyang). got foot massage for 98. Asked the massage girl for a HJ - her English was poor, but she got the point. Said that HJ only comes with oil massage at 498. Wasn't feeling in the mood to add on another massage so offered her 200 to do it there. Once she got the idea, she was more than happy to comply. In fact, better service than the freelancer.
So, my 298 CNY service was better than the 1100 full service. BJ is tough is you don't speak Chinese but there are gems to be found - just avoid the tourist areas.
