Nevertheless ... this ever happened before ... when i ckeck in to a budget hotel for the short time type ...

I simply told them i am checking in to take a break and if my visitor comes, i let you know ... ALL they mentioned to me is - "Please come down to the reception when you happen to have visitor and provide the ID of your visitor .... so that you do not violate any regulation

So if you willing to take some risk .... ask your visitor to goes up to your room without informing them lor ...
but what they will reply is, then i can only give u the key only when your partner is here, or if u said u are alone, they will give u a room that can be seen by cctv
