No Kopitiam is long gone, replaced by Singapore Restaurant which has in turn closed down! (or was it the other way around? In any case - no more Singapore restaurant at that location sadly)

And I agree with sexrookie's assessment that the Number 8 Restaurant is IMHO the worst cha chaan teng in CP ...that pretends to also be a sort of high class restaurant after they redecorated last year....with supposedly nice Chinese furniture, but which is so uncomfortable to sit on.
The food is also weird - not Hong Kong style, not China style, in fact I think no style at all!! - and certainly very expensive for what you get.
No wonder its always empty any time of the day/night.

Next door to this though (closer to Starbucks), the JuFu restaurant is pretty good and is a suitable place for "date Nights" too. Their Chicken A La King is great for Lunch after drinking the night before! Accompanied by a complimentary and simple Wok Fried Greens, it hits the spot! There is another Jufu Branch towards Tesco, next to the main China Telecom office.
