I was a prefect during my JC days. Naturally, I was assigned to be one of the Group Facilitators for the freshmen orientation during my year 2. For those who were in the JC system, you would know how chaotic the system could be, where students will jump from class to class, or even JC to JC during the first 3 months.
Even then, I was (pleasantly) surprised when I went to the hall to pick up my orientation group – there were over 20 girls and 2 guys in a group that was meant to contain only 15 members! Turned out most of them were “jumpers” from other JCs or OGs as they wanted to band together – being from the same convent.
Being one to face the bull by its horns (ESPECIALLY in such a situation), I gamely accepted all of them. One of them was Qi – a skinny and quiet girl whose skin is so white she can quantify as a vampire anytime. Anyhow, my attention was not focused on her as there were other lookers in the group then. As fate would decree, she turned out to be in my junior class.
