To be honest I prefer this option. I do not like it when I'm there and some bros come late and then jump in front of me because he booked.
For eg, the bro made booking at 6pm slot, I come at 6.10pm, the bro still haven't come yet... Then when the girl getting ready to serve me, the bro who made booking suddenly turn up at 6.20pm and say sorry because he had to drink mother's soup or had to lao sai before coming out that's why late.

Ok, to clarify, the above is just an example that happened to me in other houses but not at 1654a la.
1654A so far the bosses like garrik and all run the show quite well, never disappointed me yet. He is always fair and aware how to manage girls and customers.
To sum up, I think he made the right move to remove the booking system and revert to first come first serve.
