I just came back from Beijing and was staying at Continental Grand Hotel. Didn't recce the hotel itself cos came back late every night, didn't see anything happening at walking distance but saw Japs with pretty chinese walked into the lift couple of times. They probably got them from clubs.
Its easy to get around from this hotel, taxi to Wangfujing cost between 17- 28yuan (15 - 25mins) depending on time of day and rates of cab. Jiupajie (bar street) will cost about 30yuan (20-35mins). Just to give you an idea the sense of distance.
If you don't know where to go for girls when you are there, just hop into a cab and check with the Taxi driver.
And if you have more budget, walk out to the main road of the hotel and get one of those "Hyundai Sonata Black Cab" cos they are more exposed to POSH clubs than those road side Taxis. A normal taxi will probably bring you to places the locals go which is cheap but might not up to your standard. As for the "Hyundai Sonata Black Cab" at the main road, just be careful some were "Black Cabs" that are out to eat you up once you step into their cab.
My advise is check out everything you need from this website before you go.
