Yanda = strike hard campaign against the "yellow trade" and targets the sex industry, drugs, counterfeit etc.
Previous years' yanda had mostly been carried out during the period leading up to the National day celebrations on October 1, but which had started with alarming regularity each year earlier and earlier; last year's yanda had been particularly bad.
