I came across this article about a Singaporean 52 Year old man being released in April 2013. He was jailed for fraud. I wonder if this is the person you are talking about. According to this article, his "Nickname" is "Roman" while in Prison. Apparently, he was an obedient and an exemplary prisoner hence his early release. Good for him and bad for us.
