Well, the short-term one will most certainly leave you with good memories, no? YOLO la, YOLO... Though I suppose people are greedy and would desire to have both too. And on the other hand, the average drudgery of a long-term deal might also be what you'll really really miss when it's gone, 30 or 40 years later. It's definitely not a one or the other question, so the best thing is not to be greedy, cut your losses short and find an acceptable balance. Easier said than done perhaps.
