SYDNEY - Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has postponed her much anticipated Showgirl Tour, a spokesman for the company promoting her upcoming concert tour said on Tuesday.

The spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the company, Frontier Touring, only learned of the diagnosis early on Tuesday. Further details were not immediately available. -- AP

But cancer don't discriminate, they can hit anybody, equal opportunity.

The internet Sydney Morning Herald carried the press release too. Gudinski confirmed the news.

sad news indeed. apparently it's early stage so still treatable.

BTW I read somewhere that it affects women past 35 who do not have babies. Something to do with the hormones. They need to do regular checks.

I also read that if women come into contact with sperm it helps decrease the likelihood of breast cancer (read last month's Men's Health, US edition).

So if you meet a single lady above 35, you should do her a favour by offering to check her breasts and expose her to some sperm. In order to prevent breast cancer.
