Employment for local married PRC without getting PR

Hi guys, i have a very close PRC frd whom wanted to seek employement but she does not have PR yet. Recently, her hubby has not been treated her very well and not giving pocket money to her as well. she has very limited scope to go where to work. Could any bro kind enough to pour in solutions or PM me of any lobangs to pull though her difficult situation.

One of my colleague's wife has been working as a part time maid during her 2yrs of wait for her PR approval. Feel free to pour in your kind suggestions and pm lobangs

guess baby sitter or distributing flyers are good deals. u see so many PRCs distributing flyers on the street nowadays. They got no permit to distribute but still the govt and police dont even bother them

Thanks for ur suggestions but distributting flyers is only enough to earn pocket money and not surviving. Any higher paid salary jobs whereby she can sustain herself and somemore she does not have high education If anyone needs babysitting lobangs, PT maid can PM me too

many decent filipinas are doing this and getting ok pay
as she's married to local, no problem for her
many homes now seeking such maid service
becos such maids are temporary..and no need to pay levy

post new paper also can...... but u need to know its still illegal for her to work... as she is still considered a foreigner...... so by word of mouth is better...... or do flyers and send out in her neighbourhood

Bro, high paying jobs are hard to come by for foreigner without high qualifications... moreover she is not English-educated. She got to make do with what it can be offered to her. Also, she got to work secretly as it may not be legal. Just hope she knows abt this and can work safely

maybe she can go around office asking whether they need office cleaner. few hours a days, quite safe too, air con too...

if ok, mayb can start by giving tuition. ask ard her neighbourhood to see any1 of thier kids wana get chinese tuition. ask her to charge cheaper 1st. if got results, then can charge higher.

She can approach cleaning companies for daily rated cleaning jobs on a part time basis. Or she can print flyers of her own and distribute them in her neighbourhood.
She can also do childcare services. Parents drop their kids over in the morning and pick them up in the evening.
If her educational qualifications allow, she can also do chinese and math tuitions to primary school students.
She can also be hawker assistant.
There are many many jobs that the authority closes one eye to.
Since she is married to a Singaporean and have a long stay pass, she could also try to approach MOM to see if there are jobs available. Chances are slim but not zero.

Bro lightning, i think the best way is for her or her friends to post on a PRC website, based in SG, called sgchinese.com.

I once had a gf from prc, they always surf that website. Those PRCs always surf that website to sell things, buy things, advertise.

I also saw advertisements for part time housekeeper required in the past.

Think those PRCs are more willing to help one another when you dont have proper work permits.

Just my opinion though.

1. try approaching those cleaning contractors. sum pubs r contracting these cleaning companies be4 each day of operations. i hv seen many of them at pubs i hang around. pay rate from i last chatted wif an old PRC uncle can be quite gd, between $5/hr to $7/hr. short working hrs too.

2. there r sum small restaurants tat dun mind such employees. under-table of coz, if tio liak... restaurant kena big time. but doesnt mean there is no opportunities 2.

3. small retail shops, like those in toa payoh selling female attires. sum of them hire w/o work permit 2, n mostly malaysian employees. she can gv it a shot if she wan.

4. otherwise, learn some skills like massage. clean massage i mean, no extra. there r TN outlets tat accept students n even if ICA cum, sum will just brush it off as students practising n not employees. a safer route.
