aiya..this bloody g*vt**nt always got nothing else beta to do but think of ways to earn our $$$..give u $$ ask u get lost,move to other place,but new location which is confirm at a higher price & shorter lease,at the end of the day,watever they compensate u is not enuff to fully buy tat new location & if GL were ever to be moved,is part of their plan to earn $$$.they see people earn big $$,they eyes red & always thinking of ways to deprive others of their only leisure available in sillypore.wat we say sure is wrong.but watever that came from their mouth is sure gd.last time some people say open casino etc..they say no gd,gamble cause many suffering etc..but now when they wan open,they say is to bring in more $$ for the country...I bet he mean for his own pockets..jian ren shuo ren hua,jian gui shuo gui hua..( see human,talk human language, see ghost, +++ ghost language ) haha...

Well yes chances are geylang will move to somewhere not near a residential area. They have to move someday somehow. The more the people from the geylang and joo chiat area complain the higher the chances.

So you guys out there if you think you have some money to spare. I suggest get hold of 1 or 2 property there and keep it. Most of the land there are freehold and its value is much lower now. Imagine oneday when that decision come from parliament. The value will shoot up like rocket.

I know a guy who can give you real estate advise. Hehehhehe

according to informati0on, some Lorongs in Geylang are not eligible for housing loan ..... so to buy property in Geylang you must full settle mean pay full cash or CPF .....

Please check with the bank(s) first before you book any unit unless you have deep pocket..... if not you gonna lose you deposit.... my two cents advise !

Don't think the government will want to take it away. Unless they have the perfect plan (which i don't think any government have) to keep all the ladies safe from "hungry" men, especially those foreign workers.

They will not move for the near future, but I do concur that prices there are better than the rest of Singapore. However, the deals are now not as attractive as previously. I would bet my pot of gold in PRC then in SG right now. Why in the world would I want to buy a property in SG when it is paying peanuts in interest rate. Upward appreciation? I doubt it. If we ever double in price, we are going to have an unstainable economy. Can you imagine what your salary would have to be in order to afford a condo, or a landed property?
